Programming software for HST-Technik Power Tools

he HST-Tool-Manager allows the quick and easy parameterization of HST Power Tools. In addition to the general settings such as signal tones, LED indicators and monitoring settings, the process relevant parameters e.g. at the TorqBee® PRO-M such as torque / angle of rotation /
speed / number of screw levels / number of connections can be set with the HST-Tool-Manager.

 

The settings are saved in the tool, but they can also be saved locally on a PC as backup.

 

Furthermore, the HST-Tool-Manager offers a print function with which the settings can be printed and documented as a PDF. In addition, the HST-Tool-Manager offers the opportunity to archive all data in XML format.

The software is a very user-friendly application. It is self-explanatory and does not require any intense training. The chart and the statistics can be opened with a mouse-click after connnecting the tool. All statistic parameters can be imported easily into Excel for further processing.

 

With a backup file you can change the settings without a direct contact to the tool. So the settings can be checked easily. Also you can send them e.g. via E-Mail.

A firmware update of the power tools is done fast and easy via the USB-port.

 

Also you can export / import some or all settings of the tool. So it´s easy to clone some tools.

 

Different user profiles (user, administrator, calibrator), have different rights to change settings.


In addition to setting the process parameters, the software also offers the opportunity to analyze recorded process data.

Charts and overview tables for the fastening results can be read and documented by the tool‘s memory
via PC and USB cable.

When reading a tool, the HST-Tool-Manager will automatically store a tool backup.

At the reading and saving process of settings the program makes automatically a shadow copy.


The „Language-Select-System“ (LSS), which has been registered for a patent, offers the world‘s only possi- bility for changing the language of the software directly without a restart or reinstallation of the software.

 

The software is available in the following languages:

  • German
  • English (UK)
  • English (US)
  • French
  • Italian
  • Chinese
  • Russian

The administrator can choose which languages the user group can select. Thanks to the user groups all rights and setting can be managed.

 

The software can store up to 90 individually-designed programs. Each program can be subdivided into up to 6 steps, e.g. soft start-up, join, loosen, etc..

Furthermore, the screwing parameters required in each individual program are stored so that up to 90 different fastening situations can be mapped in a tool.

General settings:

Version and date of the firmware to check for updates. The number of seconds for the standby function can be defined here.

Graph:

On the Graphics tab, the current charging process on the charging slot in live-view mode.


Update:

The charger station firmware is regularly adapted to new batteries introduced to the market. This makes it possible to charge the batteries with a firmware update which generally takes 2-3 minutes.

Program overview:

Clear an structured illustration of the programs with simple functionality in order to create new programs or edit,
activate or deactivate existing programs.

Program:

Simple program set-up with up to 6 tightening steps and behavior definition in the event of errors. Each screwing application can be defined thanks to precise level settings from general settings to the tightening strategy through to the additional options.


Tightening strategy:

Allows for quick and organized set-up of the tightening strategy for the different steps Nominal, measurement and evaluation factors can be manually entered or partially calculated based on percentages. The screwing application is illustrated on the right.

Graph:

Color coding of the tightening steps with different display modes for optimally displaying the results. Specified data can be downloaded from the tool and can then be further processed or saved using Excel.

Program overview:

The program overview is similar to those for the screwing tools and also provides a quick overview and easy selection and set-up of programs. With only a few clicks, a program can be completely set up and the setting process can begin.

Program:

The basic settings, counting functions, evaluation or measurement windows and the additional options can be defined for the program. The structured steps display guarantees the setting process can be easily set up.


Evaluation definition directly from reference rivets:

The evaluation can be performed directly via the graphics window using several reference setting processes (red). To this end, the processes are read out and the evaluation window (green) can be adapted to the results that are deemed good. Tabular values can also be entered.

Graph:

Different display modes for the optimal presentation of the results. Specified data can be downloaded from the tool and can then be further processed or saved using Excel. The filter function allows relevant data to be evaluated even more precisely.
